Hi there, welcome back to my weekly blog post called “The Plus Side” I share an update in my life, some of the content I’ve shared that week, my recent favorites, plus some exclusive things I haven’t share on the ‘gram. It’s an easy way to see everything in one place! Let’s catch up, friends!
Earlier this week I posted a brand new weekend vlog! In this video, I share behind the scenes from a photo and video shoot Emily and I did for Sister Social Media. I also share my process for cleaning my kitchen (a la @gocleanco!) My mom and I also did a fun painting class – read more about that here.
It finally feels like spring is on the horizon so I’ve been doing a lot of browsing. These pretty blue dresses caught my eye. You can shop them here!
I also tried the famous Hill House Nap Dress this week! It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but I love it – I can’t wait for it to warm up so I can wear it. You can save $20 if you use this link to shop!
I wrote this post about magnifying your self-love. This perspective has changed my whole relationship with myself. Read more about it here.
This week I finished a new favorite book, Eight Hundred Grapes. It takes place in Napa Valley and is the perfect retreat. If you love a good rom-com that has a few twists and turns, this is a great one for you.
A note from me to you:
This week we finally had the first signs of spring here in Maryland- slightly warmer temps melted away most of the snow. I’ve been complaining about this winter for weeks but this week I finally realized how necessary it is. Without winter, snow, and cold, I wouldn’t cherish the spring, sun, and warmth quite so much.
So much of life is like this too – I’ll never forget what it felt like to have a terrible relationship to my body and food, and now I don’t take it for granted that I can eat and live comfortably in the body I have. I’m not a dietician or doctor but this week is National Eating Disorders Awareness week and I wanted to call out a few resources that were and are super helpful to me and many others. First off, the nutrition counselors I worked with, Dr. Daisy and Co. I also loved the book Body Kindness by Rebecca Scritchfield and The Fuck It Diet by Caroline Dooner. For podcasts, I would recommend Outweigh by Amy Brown and Lisa Hayim. You can hear my whole story on the All The Reals podcast here.

Cheers to the weekend, friends! I hope you are able to rest and recharge.
